Color Polyester Plate Lithography

Explore Polyester Plate lithography for three consecutive Thursday evenings. This joyful experience will allow you to make a plate and print for three consecutive weeks developing an overlay using simple registration process and printing creating a multicolor print. Polyester plate litho is a shorthand method of doing lithography. You can create and print a plate in a color by building upon your previous weeks' work. You will have the opportunity to allow the print to dry between printings, register your next plate and print again. Polyester plate or “pronto plate” lithography is an immediate and often playful printing process that offers an option for artists to incorporate visual elements as disparate as photography, digital designs and hand drawn illustrations. This more immediate form will introduce you to the process and allow for immediate exploration and printing opportunities using a lithograph related format while dispensing with some of the more physical challenges of using lithography stones. It is a great way to experience the magic and opportunities of the process.
